Public Transport
By tram or bus
Check out the route planner of Smart Ways to Antwerp for all accessibility information and smart alternatives for getting around in the city. Buy your ticket at a newsstand, at the ticket machines at the stops or in the Visitor Centres.
On foot or by bike
Antwerp is a pocket-sized metropolis: most attractions, conference centres and hotels are close together. To give you an idea, it’s a 25-minute walk from Antwerp’s central station to the river Scheldt. Walking is the best way to experience and explore the city. Do you have a bicycle at your disposal? Then it’s even faster.

Taxi
Need to get from point a to point b quickly? A taxi will bring you to your destination in a fast, safe and affordable manner. You pay a uniform tariff, controlled by the city and shown on the taximeter in the car. At central station, taxi drivers are waiting to transport you. Or use www.taxi.eu to order one.
Transport by waterway
Transport and sightseeing combined: waterbus transports passengers (and their bicycles) across the Scheldt River, between Antwerp, Hemiksem and the port. The boat leaves every half an hour and it’s easy to buy a ticket on board.
